Drayage
Drayage is the short truck move of a container between a marine terminal or rail ramp and a warehouse. It is usually priced per box plus fuel, chassis, tolls and wait time — not per pound. Axle laws, not ocean payload, can stop a 20ft legally stuffed at 28 t from rolling without a permit.
A legal ocean payload on the CSC plate is not a legal highway weight. Plan the heavier 20ft with the drayman, not just the forwarder.
