Class 50 covers freight with a density of 50 lb/ft³ or more. Typical examples: very dense, durable freight: steel rods, bricks, sand, nuts and bolts, cement blocks. Lower classes ship cheapest per pound — dense freight is easy to handle and hard to damage.

Is density the only factor?
