Floor loading

Floor loading means cartons go onto the container or trailer floor, not onto pallets. You buy more cube and a cheaper origin pack-out; you pay in destuff labor, clamp/hand-unload time, and often a destination surcharge. The container loading calculator floor-packs cartons this way. If the receiving DC requires pallets, floor loading just moves the palletization cost to the other end.
