Ocean and air freight quote volume in cubic meters (CBM); Indian domestic transport, courier and timber trades often use cubic feet (CFT). The factor is exact: (1 m / 0.3048 m)³ = 35.3147.
Multiply the CBM figure by 35.3147. Example: 12 CBM × 35.3147 = 423.8 CFT.
Divide the CFT figure by 35.3147 (or multiply by 0.0283168). Example: 100 CFT ÷ 35.3147 = 2.83 CBM.
1 CBM = 35.3147 cubic feet. So 1 cubic meter is a little over 35 cubic feet.
